About

Originating from Dorset on the south coast of England where I attended art school in the late 1990’s, I have now settled in Hampshire after spending several years living abroad in Australia and the Netherlands.

My career has been broad, focused mainly on print, publishing and marketing. Like many people during that time, 2020 helped me reassessed my passions and I picked up oil painting for the first time. Since then my obsession has been painting the sky, attending Chichester College and the West Dean College of Arts for refresher courses.

I now split my time working in Events and Marketing at a beautiful historic house on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex and painting at my home on the outskirts of Portsmouth.

Having been fascinated with the Northern Lights since seeing them in Iceland in 2015, most of my work borders on the fanciful side – I don’t work directly from images, favouring just picking up a brush and seeing where it takes me.
